Fresh organic Datura seeds (Datura metel "Fatsuosa"). Beautiful, large purple flowers. Datura is also known as: Sacred Thorn-apple, Thorn-apple, Devil's Trumpet, and Sacred Datura. Grown organically in Hawaii rainforest.

WARNING: ALL PARTS OF THE PLANT ARE EXTREMELY POISONOUS/LETHAL IF INGESTED BY HUMANS OR ANIMALS. DO NOT CONSUME.

Purple flowered Datura metel “Fatsuosa” is a rare relative of the Nightshade family with an interesting history in traditional cultures across the world. Datura literally means “thorn-apple” in Hindi originating from Sanskrit. Often confused with Angel’s Trumpet main visual difference is that Datura’s beautiful large bell-shaped flowers point up, while Angel’s Trumpet flowers point down.

After Datura flowers bloom, they produce spiky round seed pods, hence it’s descriptive name “Thorn Apple.” Do not consume! Datura is not an actual apple. Extremely poisonous/lethal!

Extracts from this plant and its relatives are narcotic and, if ingested, potentially lethal. The narcotic properties of species have been known since before recorded history. They once figured importantly in religious ceremonies of southwestern Indians. DO NOT CONSUME.

Grown as an annual in temperate climates USDA Zone 5-7 or short-lived perennial in tropical/subtropical regions USDA Zone 8+.
