Description

Holy Basil is a well-known Ayurvedic herb from which the popular and fragrant Tulsi tea is made. Tulsi is considered an adaptogen, which means it helps the body fight and adapt to stress. It’s relaxing and pleasant with no caffeine.

There are several varieties of Holy Basil out there. They all prefer full sun and well-draining soil. Perennial in tropical and subtropical climates with a very nice fragrance and the bees love it too!

Amrita Tulsi variety. Amrita means “immortality” and you can’t go wrong with that 🙂 It grows to several feet tall in well draining organic soil. Probably, the best tasting Tulsi out there, but more challenging to grow in cooler climates. In cooler climates it’s best to grow it in pots and bring it inside during the colder months.
