Relatively rare, bilimbi has traditional medicinal, food, and other uses. A very pretty tree of medium size with beautiful evergreen foliage and fruits growing along its trunk. Organically grown in Hawaii, non-gmo.

Directions

Store Bilimbi seeds in their original package at room temperature in a dry, shady place. Plant 1/2” deep in a warm spot. Use preferably organic potting soil or well-draining garden soil. Part-sun, part shade. Protect from cold and wind. Bilimbi depends on warmth and moisture for germination. Germination may take up to 3 weeks, depending on growing conditions. Fruiting height: 8-20 ft. Time to fruit: 2-4 years. Hardiness: USDA Zone 10a to 13. Bilimbi grows to about 30ft. high and 6ft wide – a beautiful slender tree suitable for warm climate home gardens.
